create_butt_joint_sequence#
- ModelingGroup.create_butt_joint_sequence(*, name='ButtJointSequence', active=True, global_ply_nr=0, primary_plies=(), secondary_plies=(), definition_type=None, starting_modeling_plies=())#
Instantiate a ButtJointSequence.
- Parameters:
name (str) – Name of the butt joint sequence.
primary_plies (Sequence[PrimaryPly]) – Primary plies are the source of a butt joint and they pass the thickness to adjacent plies. Plies with a higher level inherit the thickness from those with a lower level.
secondary_plies (Sequence[ModelingGroup | ModelingPly]) – Secondary plies are butt-joined to adjacent primary plies and they inherit the thickness.
definition_type (Any | None) – Specifies how the butt-joint plies are defined. Either manually or automatically. If set to one of the automatic modes, the algorithm searches for plies of the selected type that butt-join the given ply. When
Noneis passed, manual definition is used, which matches the behavior of ACP 26.1 and earlier. This default will change to"automatic_all_ply_types"in a future release.starting_modeling_plies (Sequence[ModelingPly]) – The automatic detection will search for plies which butt-join with the selected modeling plies.
- Return type:
Added in ACP server version 25.1.
